EVERY DAY IS SATURDAY || SEASON TWO!! ✨

Hello, friends! What a week—If you watched the brilliant, poetic souls on the steps at the capital last week, you may feel as energized as I do. It’s an energizing week over here at our house, too, for so many reasons. For starters, I am thrilled to announce that seasons two of EVERY DAY IS SATURDAY, my new series with Food Network, is about to launch, early this week. This show is the culmination of two decades of learning, growing, writing, cooking and renovating (this old house!) to make this moment possible, and I am so proud to share this dream with you.

There’s a lot of new folks around here, so bunches of you may have missed my first season, which aired over the summer (but is available to download and watch any time). The first season is full of fresh, seasonal and super simple favorites from my book, Every Day is Saturday. The new season builds on that and gets even better—a deeper dive into our life, our home, our little village and of course the meals that fill our plate every day. This is warming, winter food at its best!

Get ready to see much more action in the outdoors: a relaxed picnic, a dinner by the fire and much, much more. SEASON TWO officially airs January 26, but—spoiler—the episodes are already live, so you can binge-watch the whole thing tonight if you’d like (WOOT!). I’ll be sharing a lot more behind the scenes and bonus recipes from the series here, soon, but for now, scroll down to see some sneak peeks of what’s to come this season.

The episodes reflect who we are as a family, and who I am as a cook. You’ll find unfussy, delicious recipes for adults and little bellies. For the neighbors, teachers and friends. Even things for gathering, too, when we get to do that again. I hope it will inspire you to make your own backyard feast (in any season), be on the hunt for your favorite hiking spot, and find the sweet spot meal that your family will always eat, without any fuss.

There’s a lot of talented, dedicated souls involved in getting something like this off the ground—from the incredible producers at Food Network to my visionary directors from Spacestation, to my dream team in all things food (Anna Stockwell Kat Boytsova, Brenda Jolicoeur!) not to mention our beloved babysitters, neighbors and friends.

I’m incredibly grateful to my kiddos, Greta and Matyas who cooked by my side with patience and joy, while their home was turned into a film set. And above all, there’s no chance I'd be able to do any of this without the most supporting husband who was always ready to whisk away the kids for a hot cocoa, build fires, kitchen tables, and every other magical touch in our outdoor scenes, and for generally being the most patient man on Earth.

I have poured my heart and soul into this dream, and I can’t wait until EVERY DAY IS SATURDAY reaches your screen. I hope it inspires you and makes your life a little dreamier, easier and much more delicious.
